Being Special

Hello, Mindscapers!

Back with another card. This is not the one I promised. Somehow I end up doing anything but typing a post for the said card.

But this one is ‘special’ and the idea struck me when I was brainstorming for a project in which I could use my new detailing knife.

Yes, I am obsessed with paper cutting projects but, knowing me, it won’t last long.

Moving on, this card here, with ‘You’re Special’ sentiment is very, very pretty in my opinion.

 

The girl, which was inspired by my grade 7 French textbook and her hair were individually cut, coloured and pasted by me (of course). The flowers were punched using a punch

 

The sentiment was hand lettered (as always) and inked using Pigma Microns and I also used Prisma colour pencils around the letters to bring out the texture of the paper.

This post is not going to be a tutorial cause I am in a hurry (I want to catch up on Supernatural) and also because I did not take any work in progress pictures as was busy figuring out where which piece of paper would go.
