I have always been inclined to more semi-realistic/ realistic drawings.
I have been drawing all my life. Not with an intention of making it big or for proving that I can draw. I draw for myself and I love doing it. If you have read through my previous posts or if you have read my bio you probably are aware that I am a self-taught artist (that is something I take pride in) and it is probably because I am self-taught that I have always focused on more real looking drawings and sketches than styling it.
Anyway, I think I am fairly good when it comes to capturing light or drawing realistic forms. I might not draw the exact copy of the reference picture (and I am cool with it but I do need to train my observational skills) but it sure looks as real enough.
I am such a show off 😎😉
I am writing this post to show three of my favourite “realistic” digital artworks.

If you could say it in words there would be no reason to paint.
Few weeks ago I entered my drawing for a contest on Instagram. The challenge was to draw something inspired by your role model.
I went with Edward Hopper. (And Seventeen)

It’s been exactly a month since my last post and also a month since my promise to myself to post daily. A promise which I obviously broke.
But better late than never, right?
I am back with a work I did months ago and I am very proud of.

The medium I used was mediocre HP pencils on Printer paper. and this was the outcome…

June has been extremely busy month for me. Commencement of new term, projects and what not.
Some of my time but, was occupied with the 30 day daily challenge.
I tried to get all the drawings and everything on time (but I failed miserably).
In this post I have embedded the first fifteen drawing and doodles I posted for the 30 day challenge.
Note: all of these were taken from my instagram account. I am fairly active on instagram, you can check out my profile by clicking Here.
You can check all of my June challenge drawings under the hashtag #MindscapeDiaryJune
and all of my other works under the hashtag #MindscapeDiary

Back with another card. This is not the one I promised. Somehow I end up doing anything but typing a post for the said card.
But this one is ‘special’ and the idea struck me when I was brainstorming for a project in which I could use my new detailing knife.
Yes, I am obsessed with paper cutting projects but, knowing me, it won’t last long.
Moving on, this card here, with ‘You’re Special’ sentiment is very, very pretty in my opinion.
