Sail Away…

Hello!

I have been very busy with my college and was pretty bored with lectures and exams. So at the first opportunity I sat down with my crafting materials to make something.

I was really excited about this card and had ideas buzzing in my mind!

 Sail Away

I named this card ‘Sail Away’. As the  name suggests the theme is “Nautical”.

I have created a sailing scene on a tag using Distress Inks for watercolouring. I have painted sunny, cloudy sky and a cute sail boat on beautiful blue sea. I have used a bit of Blue-Yellow twine as the rope for sail. The sentiment I stamped is ‘Bon Voyage’ cause I believe it goes well with the theme.

For the ‘ribbon’ on tag, I’ve used orange washi tape and have also used embellishments beneath the sentiment.

For me, this card is very eye pleasing because of contrast between sunny sky and blue waters and also because Blue is my very favorite colour! Also as 4th of July is fast approaching, I, co-incidentally, have used the American Flag colour combo, Blue, Red and White.

I gave the challenges’ deadline as an excuse for me having to make this card urgently (but really I just needed a break 😉 )

So, here are the challenges I have participated in…
